Philanthropy

Giving back is important to us at Equity Alliance International. We live in a world where there is a vast gap between the haves and the have-nots.  We believe that charitable work is as important as our primary focus.

Equity Alliance South Africa takes the lead in our philanthropic endeavors, as there is much work to be done in this diverse and dynamic country.

We focus specifically on the very visible divides that can be seen in and around the exquisitely beautiful, Cape Town. It is this very juxtaposition between the beauty of Cape Town and the ugliness of the poverty, which hides in plain site, that compels us to help us in any way we can.

Our current projects in Cape Town are:

Friends Of Chosa

Equity Alliance has been assisting CHOSA, a U.S. based non profit charity that assists in the townships of Cape Town. We are happy to announce that our donations have helped rebuild shacks used as orphanages, into fully fledged orphanages that are secure and safe.

Along with direct input into improving the basic needs of these vital orphanages, EA likes to have a bit of fun with the orphans and with the assistance of staff, family and friends, puts on a ‘kids fun day’ every quarter. Not only does this help us keep in contact with our causes but allows the kids a day of fun, treats and stories.

You can assist today. Either mail us or speak directly to CHOSA

Vida e Caffe Feeding Scheme:

Equity Alliance in conjunction with popular coffee chain, Vida e Caffe,  has helped establish a new feeding scheme with the over flow of Vida’s previously binned food. The initiative now feeds 7 shelters of hope and is the equivalent of a $300 000/year on going donation. A true success story.

Park X – Youth Development Center (concept)

Equity Alliance has come on board to assist this non-profit organization in its quest to launch a new multi-use youth center, situated in the heart of Cape Town and alongside the beautiful new soccer stadium and Greenpoint’s new green zone.

The project will look to transform a wasted space in a high density population area, into an area that the youth can come too learn, play or just hang-out. The Cape Town City Council has reacted positively to the project, as it will occur on council land.

We are now finalizing the final proposal before approaching the council for the formal presentation.

More details to follow.
